A super quick tip so you can get your best height in Eggbeater. First, you must understand that execution is key to make this movement work.
- Draw circles with your feet.
- Coordinate alternate leg move – when one foot is in, the other one is out.
- Body posture – keep the shoulders align with hip. Tip: scull behind the upper body.
- Keep the knees bent and stand wide as if riding a horse.
Now, what more can you do to search for height? Get your knees really close to the surface of the water at all times. This will help maintain your full body close to the surface of the water.
One exercise I use for not only Eggbeater, but also with the preparation for a body boost, is starting with the legs extended and then, bring the knees towards the surface of the water as fast as possible while egg beating.
