Currently, sport is increasingly active. This is one of the most important complements in people’s daily life, there is even some who live from it and are dedicated exclusively to sports, and of your life it’s also important, right?
So this new discipline in which I will initiate you, sport psychology, will help you to understand a little better your thoughts, your goals, your successes or failures, to manage the nerves or stress of competitions, to motivate you… Everything can be better understood through this science.
Nowadays, every time a sport psychologist is given a more important role, both in individual sports (badminton’s Carolina Marín, figure skating’s Javier Fernández…) and in collective sports (professional football or basketball teams, even we in the national team had a psychologist who helped us).
Since in this month many sports disciplines start the season, I will help you to plan the goals in the short, medium and long term, and to be able to analyze the failures of last season so that now they do not happen again.
Personally, setting such goals has helped me a lot during the seasons and I always advise it, since it’s the best way to know that you are evolving, that you are getting those small steps that make you grow and, above all, motivate you to continue with more force. It’s also important to know how to differentiate goal types; we can pose them of result or performance (more flexible).
Below, you can download a template to make it easier for you to fill in this start of the season and, little by little, see how your goals are being fulfilled.
