Work the points at home

In today’s article we will deal with a topic that you have asked us many of you: work the points at home. It gives the impression that having good or bad points starts is a matter of birth, that you can not improve and that you have to settle for what you have. Well, nothing to do with this thought. The feet (like all parts of the body) are composed of muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones. There is everything inside. Therefore you can work and improve both the flexibility of its parts such as the strength and control of your muscles. Some ago Andrea Fuentes wrote two articles on how to work the points I, and the second part you can see here.

Below I will describe three exercises to work the points at home in about 15 minutes. The important thing about these exercises is not to do a very long session, but to be able to repeat a short workout almost every day of the week.

  • Roll the glass (or bottle): step on the foot bridge with a bottle on a towel or rug. Then roll the foot forward extending the instep to the top and then go back all the way to the heel. Between 10 and 15 repetitions, 2 or 3 times is enough.
  • Pick up the T-shirt: We spread a T-shirt on the floor and we have to bring it with our toes without moving the foot of your site. It is important to perform the extension and flexion of the fingers at their maximum amplitude. Remember that we are also working on motor control of the foot. Pick up the T-shirt between five and ten times and you will notice that the flexor muscles are there.
  • The alphabeth: Imagine you have a pencil on the tip of your big toe and draw the letters of the alphabet in the air. Perfect exercise to gain mastery of foot movement in all its positions. You can also write your name several times or whatever you like. Without moving the rest of the leg!

By performing these simple exercises to work the points at home  we will gain strength, extension and control in the feet. You can also do them anywhere. Remember that the goal is to have as much control of the feet as we have in our hands. Convert feet made to walk on feet to show.
